About Solvang

Solvang California is a charming Danish town located north of Santa Barbara and south of Santa Maria, California.  Nestled among the beautiful Santa Ynez mountains and greenery, Solvang brings the old world of Denmark together with the California style of living.  Walk along the cobblestone sidewalks and see beautiful flowers, the smiling faces of the shopkeepers and treat your taste buds to the delicious pastries the Danish are so well known for.  Take a tour of the beautiful vineyards and taste some fine wines made right there in and around Solvang.  Go hiking at the Nojoqui Falls Park or play a game of golf on some of the nicest golf courses around!  You will see the Santa Inés Mission where the blessing of the hounds takes place.  Like Llamas?  What about Ostriches and Emu's?  You can see and visit with them as well!  Love lavender?  Stop by some of the road side stores and take in the beautiful aroma of fresh lavender!

A delightful town with many places of interest and things to do, Solvang welcomes Greyhound owners with open arms for the Solvang Greyhound Fest and also to enjoy their beautiful town each year!
